The snow crunches under our feet. We walk past the church on our way down to the main street. The Matterhorn Museum is opposite the church. Round the corner and past the station where the big Christmas tree stands. There are quite a few people there waiting for their hotel transport. Zermatt is one of the few ski resorts to have enough snow to ski and the station is a bit like Town Hall station in Sydney at peak hour. Our hotel is only a five minute walk from the station past one of the Fuchs Bakery stores. There are three in Zermatt and they make delicious pastries and bread! We stayed at Hotel Dufour and couldn't have asked for a nicer, more welcoming hotel.
