Hiking Around the Matterhorn, Zermatt
It is only about 4km long, but the walk from Rotenboden to Riffelberg was one amazing experience!! From Zermatt we catch the train to Rotenboden, 2815m and head off. We don't need snow shoes today but boots with proper grip for ice. Normally I walk fairly fast but today I stop constantly not only to take photos but just to absorb the view. It could not have been a better walk for me - Matterhorn ALL the way. Magnificent, amazing, fantastic ....... No one adjective can describe it.
