The day began with a hike to the Troll's Throne. The legend is that an enormous troll went for a walk one day and needed to sit down and rest. When he got up, he left a very large indentation where he had sat! The result is a 700m climb for one of the best views over Isafjördur and the surrounding area. The town of Isafjördur is the largest town in and capital of the Westfjords. In the town park is an archway made of a whale jawbone. I don't think I would have been big enough even for entrée!!!
