A delicious, freshly-made vanilla gelato for breakfast in the Qantas Club was the perfect start to the day!  After the rush to get packed and organised, I just couldn’t wait to collapse on the plane and relax.  Movies – The Monument Men and Philomena-, music – Beethoven and Chopin- and lots of knitting.  The Weiss passionfruit icecream bar halfway through the flight was worth every bite! Lunch was good but dinner was a piece of pizza heated and presented in a cardboard box!  No cutlery, no plate, just a cardboard box!!  For an international flight, I thought it was appalling.

We stayed at Novotel Suvarnabhumi Airport Hotel A very nice hotel, easy walk from the terminal although there is a hotel shuttle bus.  We were offered a welcome fruit drink while checking in.   Our room was comfy, clean and with tea/coffee making facilities.  The staff are very good and the lifts are quick.  We didn’t have breakfast at the hotel.
