Residence Inn Boston Harbour on Tudor Wharf by Marriott

We stayed here in room 813 for 3 nights. Our one bedroom apartment was on the top floor with a view overlooking the harbour. It was very spacious, very clean and well-designed. The bathroom had a shower (over the bath) and toilet, but the large vanity was located outside. Very practical. There were plenty of fluffy towels and nice toiletries. The windows in both the bedroom and living room opened so it was good to have fresh air for a change. The bed was comfy and there was plenty of storage space with a large chest of drawers and a wardrobe with an iron and ironing board. The kitchen had a full-sized frog, microwave, coffee machine (but no kettle - we carry our own in America), toaster, two hotplates, a dishwasher (which the maid set going for us every day), pots, pans and crockery and cutlery for four. The lounge was spacious with a couch, chair, coffee table, desk and large wall-mounted TV. There was also a dining table with two chairs, tea, coffee, sugar etc. It was spotlessly clean. The lighting was much better than in most hotel rooms and there were plenty of power points. There was a laundry on our level which was also spotless and the washing machine was excellent. Each load cost $2 made up of 4 quarters. The lifts were also excellent. There were only two but they were very fast. There were only two negatives - our shower could have had more pressure and, on weekends, breakfast is served on plastic plates with plastic cutlery and paper cups. I took our china plates and metal cutlery down!! During the week, once the china and metal cutlery runs out, it is replaced with plastic! We would definitely stay here again.

Never get so busy travelling

that you forget to have an icecream on the way
