This beautifully appointed apartment is perfectly situated halfway between Ragusa Ibla, the old town, and Ragusa Superiore, the modern section.  Spacious as it is built over two levels,  Iblachiara is  designed to take advantage of the amazing view of Ibla from the bedroom and the balcony.  In fact, it was really hard to drag ourselves away from the view, whether having breakfast outside, cups of tea and coffee, a nice glass of wine at sunset, or just doing nothing.  Our host, Gianni, is extremely thoughtful and considerate.   He met us at the apartment to direct us to the car park which is just around the corner then helped us with our luggage.  He gave us plenty of information about Ragusa as well as a couple of maps.  In the frig he left us a  selection of the most delicious Sicilian pastries I've ever tasted!  He made sure we had his telephone number and kept in contact just to check we had no problems.   

Inside the Apartment

The apartment is on two levels with the bedroom and one bathroom downstairs and the living area, kitchen and another bathroom with a washing machine upstairs.  A comfortable bed, fabulous airconditioning, beautiful bathrooms, plenty of hot water, good shower pressure, toiletries, hairdryer and large fluffy white towels were perfect.  In fact, the apartment was so well equipped - two hotplates, crockery, cutlery, cooking pans, dishwashing liquid, sponges, tea towels, both detergent and softener for the washing machine, pegs and a clothes airer - Gianni had thought of everything.  Even down to a coffee machine with plenty of coffee, a selection of tea bags, olive oil and condiments, paper towel - the list goes on.  But my favourite place was the balcony with its table and chairs and even an umbrella to shade us from the sun.  I could have stayed there forever.  The best place I've ever stayed.  You will see us again, Gianni.
